- The Tagging of Pacific Pelagics (TOPP) research program is a pilot project of the Census of Marine Life (CoML). TOPP, a collaboration of over 50 scientists from 5 different countries, utilizes electronic tags to understand the migration patterns of large, open-ocean animals in the Pacific Ocean; and the oceanographic processes controlling these movements.
