Our city, Toronto and most of Ontario is ideally suited t o ride a moped, in and around town. It is the simplest, smallest, safest and most economical transportation alternative to BOTH a car and public transit. Easy licensing (a G is sufficient), low maintenance, comfort and fuel economy that will blow you away, let alone the added benefit of being able to pedal it, when needed makes the moped a truly unique vehicle. No wonder it has been around for so long. Powered by only a 50cc small engine, and still being able to carry the weight of even a heavier-set rider at comfortable city speeds (max. 50 kmh), mopeds are the ultimate in utility. We like to call them PUV's (Personal Utility Vehicles).
Mopeds have been around for a very long time, but became really big only in the mid '70s, coinciding with the first fuel crisis that hit North America. Unfortunately, the success didn't last: the early '80s worldwide recession and the stricter safety laws that simultaneously came into effect wiped the moped market off the Canadian map. No new product was coming in until 1999.
We started out in 1982, as a small restoration-parts supply operation, aimed at servicing the perceived needs of the many 'classic' moped owners, young and old. We established supply sources for original and aftermarket parts and saw our parts sales climbing steadily and expanding globally with the help of the Internet.
