Our company was once a dream packed away in the minds of two young poor college students…until a series of commitment and patience paid off and we could make it all a reality.
During the summer of 1999, my husband, Ryan opened a letter notifying him of his recent acceptance to Brigham Young University-Hawaii! We were currently living on the mainland, and were excited to live among cultural diversity. We sold all of our material belongings, and purchased a one-way ticket to the North Shore of Oahu, Hawaii. With very little money and not knowing anyone there, we took a phenomenal leap of faith by moving to Hawaii and fulfilling one of our dreams to be college graduates.
We were immediately greeted with Aloha by a fantastic Hawaiian couple that taught us about the island life of fishing, eating, music and cultural art. We both felt so welcomed by the people of Polynesia. They taught us the true meaning of Aloha!
