- Simrod Outdoors, LLC. was founded by Scot Simmons and Jim Elrod (top left) in 2004. In 2005, they hosted the Texas Redfish Tournament Series, now know as the Blue Wave Texas Redfish Series. After requests from many of our anglers, The Blue Wave Texas Trout Series was introduced this year for the 2006 season. This Trout Tournament is set-up to become one of the largest speckled trout tournament trails in the United States.
