Description

Thanks for droppin' in. I’d like to tell you a little about myself before you head off into my EMS pages. You can Click here to skip this stuff and go straight to the EMS Pages if you would prefer. I have been involved with EMS for 24 years. I am a Mobile Intensive Care Technician (MICT) since 1979. During these years I have been a CPR and First Responder Instructor and worked part-time as a Flight Medic for Hawaii Air Ambulance along with my full-time Paramedic position. I was appointed to the Hawaii Governor's EMS Advisory Committee (EMSAC) for a four-year term, beginning July, 1998. I was just re-appointed for another four-year term. Presently I am a Station Supervisor (still on the road) for American Medical Response

on the island of Kauai, Hawaii. Kauai is rural with a population of about 60,000. AMR has five ALS/911 stations and overall we average about 3500 calls per year. We also provide a non-emergency transfer service and do numerous stand-bys for local events and a few major media events. (We have had the PGA Grand Slam for the past several years and are frequently used by Hollywood for movie sets. Over the past few years we have had Jurassic Park, Flight of the Intruder, Outbreak, The Lost World, George of the Jungle, 6 Days/7 Nights and Jurassic Park 3.) I also am a member of the International Affiliation of Theatrical and Stage Employees (IATSE Local#665

For sevral years I have been repairing and building computers as a hobby. In early 2001, I decided that I should be doing it as a business. In July 2001 I earned my A+ certification and am presently working toward earning an MCSA. The business takes up most of my off-duty time, but I love it! Check out the Westside Enterprises pages to learn more about it.
