Ty-Ni is a Luxury Detached Stone-Built Cottage in the centre of Laugharne, which has been furnished and equipped to a high standard. The Accommodation comprises of open plan living and dining on the ground floor and a double bedroom on the first floor with a shower room. There is also an off road parking space and a courtyard garden with picnic bench. Ty-Ni is ideally suited to sleep 2.( but can sleep an extra 2 people on a double soafa bed ). The cottage is in a small development of converted farm buildings set within a conservation area in South Wales.These are now are a group of quality welsh-cottages.This Welsh-cottage is situated in the idyllic location of Laugharne on the Carmarthen Bay Estuary. It is a good base for visiting both Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire, in South West Wales. The village of Laugharne is close to St Clears and Carmarthern and on the edge of Pembrokeshire is the ideal place to stay with easy access from the A40 and M4.Laugharne was the former home of the poet Dylan Thomas and It hosts the poets Boat House where he lived with his wife Caitlin and children, Colm, Aeronwy and Llewelyn. Also his Writing Shed, where he wrote some of his works including Under Milkwood. Laugharne also has a selection of Restaurants and Pubs including Hurst House Hotel and the New Three Mariners both belonging to the actor Neil Morrissey and his partner Matt Roberts. Neil Morissey and has recently bought the Browns Hotel a favourite drinking place of Dylan Thomas. Also in the town are the Portreeve Restaurant & Glass Works,the excellent Stable Door Wine Bar and Restaurant and the Cross House public house on the Grist. Also there is The Cors Restaurant, Castle View Fish & Chips, The Pea Green Boat Tearooms, The Owl and the Pussycat Restaurant and Tearooms, Fountain Inn (Rugby Club)and The Corporation Arms that has just been renovated and is now The Boat House Inn Hotel. Also there are the many amenities including Village Stores with Chemist and Post Office, SPAR Shop and Victoria Bakery . There are many places of interest including the 12th Century Laugharne Castle, the grave of Dylan Thomas in the Churchyard and The Museum of Speed at near by Pendine. Pendine hosts a 7 mile stretch of white sandy beach. There are breathtaking views, scenic walks in and around Laugharne and other sandy beaches just a short drive away.From the cottage you can visit the beach or go out boating, view birds on the Taff estuary,visit the gardens of Aberglasseny, the Welsh National Botanic Gardens and Colby Woodland gardens or walk in the valleys. Not far from Laugharne is the quaint market town of Narberth. Llanstefan, Pendine Sands, Amroth, Wisemans Bridge and Saundersfoot are only a few miles away, and across the Taff Estuary is the Pembry motor racing circuit and Kidwelly. 20 mins away is Tenby which has the north beach and the south beach and Tenby harbour. Tenby was a very popular holiday destination in victorian times and has now come back into popularity. You can take a boat from Tenby to Caldey Island where there is a Monestary.
