Uccf.org - Non-profit organization provides aid to Ugandan orphans

Title

Children of Uganda : UCCF.org

Description

Originally called the Uganda Children's Charity Foundation, Children of Uganda was founded in 1995 by Alexis Hefley after she spent a year and a half in Uganda working with orphaned children. As a registered 501(c)3 non-profit organization headquartered in the United States, Children of Uganda works in conjunction with local non-governmental organizations in Uganda to provide education and support to over 700 children in need. We have administrative offices in Dallas, Texas and Kampala, the capital of Uganda, where programs are administered by more than 50 local staff members dispersed in three districts of Uganda.

The mission of Children of Uganda is to provide food, shelter, clothing, medicine and education to AIDS-related orphans and vulnerable children in Uganda. Our vision is that all children in Uganda would receive an education to become healthy, productive members of their community who assume leadership roles and positively impact Ugandan society.
