UCSA - The Voice of the Students

Students often underestimate their power to influence decisions affecting their education and lives. Although students once had little impact on important University decisions, today they benefit from a greater voice in the University decision-making process. The efforts of many UC student leaders over the past three decades led to this expanded student role. The campaign for meaningful student involvement in the governance of the University laid the foundation for what has become one of the most effective statewide student associations in the nation, the University of California Student Association (UCSA).
UCSA's Board of Directors includes representatives from undergraduate, graduate, and professional student government associations on the 10 UC campuses. With offices in Oakland and Sacramento, UCSA advocates, educates, and organizes to build student power in the University of California and throughout the state.
The University of California Student Association (UCSA) is a coalition representing the over 200,000 undergraduate, graduate, and professional students at the University of California. UCSA is the official voice of UC Students to the Regents, the legislature, the office of the Governor, and the Office of the President. UCSA's mission is empower students to advocate on their own behalf for the accessibility, affordability, and quality of the University of California system.
