The United Kingdom Sailing Academy is a registered charity and a non profit making organisation. It was set up with the specific aim of providing top quality seamanship and sailing training. Since its inception in 1987 the Academy has established a global reputation for excellence in a multitude of training areas. Backed by an 9 million trust fund the organisations future is secured for many years to come.
Much our work centres on excellence in yacht and watersports training provision. We offer a wide variety of courses designed to train for the top career jobs our industry. These courses largely focus around world class RYA and MCA examined certification. Whether your a watersports fanatic wanting to instruct or a yachtsman wanting to take command of a large commercial sailing vessel our programmes offer the best possible chance of a successful career in your chosen field. Training takes place in Australia and aboard our yacht fleet in the Caribbean.
As part of our ongoing commitment to service in the yachting industry we are now training for MCA Deck Officer Training. These MCA accredited course modules entitle the holder to command vessels up to 3,000 Grt ( the size of a Frigate )
