Unorthodox Racing (“UR”) was founded early in 1996 by performance enthusiasts that had spent almost a decade hands on tweaking and tuning various American muscle cars. By the early 90’s it was clear a new automotive era was beginning to debut with high performance small displacement engines. Work began on what would be the first product line, underdrive pulleys, in late 1993. Slowly over the next 3 years the pulleys were tested and tweaked.
