Our thumbnails (snapshots of a site's homepage) are provided by DomainTools.com. If a domain page is showing an outdated thumbnail or says "Thumbnail Failed to Load", it is possible to add and refresh thumbnails:

1. Open the AboutUs page for the website. for example, www.AboutUs.org/Example.com
2. Look for the Website Information badge. It's usually on top.
3. Click on the DomainTools.com link.
4. Click queue thumbnail for update or addition link to the right of the page.
   1. If you've updated several thumbnails already, this option may not show. Try again after a while.
   2. Sometimes DomainTools.com has sites marked as "Domain Parking Lots" that aren't. If that's the case please send an email to us at and we'll request that they manually update it for you.
5. The thumbnail has now been queued to be updated. This can take up to a half an hour, but once it has been updated, the AboutUs.org page for this domain should have the new thumbnail.
   1. If the thumbnail doesn't update, visit AboutUs live chat, and ask staff to 'purge' the page for you. (Purge is resetting the page in our system.)
