edit Just Me

I thought about putting a picture up of me but ran into One of the Powers that Drives Me Everyday!

This is my grandson, Tristan, who is almost 1 years old. He looks just like me except I have a bit more hair.

As you can see, I am getting him addicted to Classical Music. He is listening to Mozart's 5^th Symph.

I thought about putting my favorite avatar up here but a naked monkey might cause an Adult Content Flag on my personal page.

Age: 41 and getting younger everyday

Marital Status: Depends on if your single otherwise I have a good wife. :)

Parental Status: Grandparent now and damn proud of it!! Payback Time. I spoil the grandchildren and send them home.

Physical Status: Looks good in a bikini. Ooops, I got to stop dreaming of Jessica Rabbit. I am semi-retired because I have a form of Muscular Dystrophy called Spinal Muscular Atrophy. Don't get me wrong I am born with it and can't do anything about it but I don't let it cripple me. I still plan on chasing nurses when I am 100. They might be able to out run me but the thought will count. :)

Location: Dryden, Northwest Ontario, Canada - I say Northwest because a lot of Southern Ontarians don't know where we are and no I don't live in an igloo, nor do I drive a snowmobile or dog-sled to work. Maybe a rusty old chevy. hehe!

Favorite Food: Way to many to say but if I had to choose, East Indian. I grew up with the aroma in the house.

Favorite Colour: Blue smiles along with you!

Favorite Female: This is a hard one. If my wife asks it is her but I love my daughter as well. If I have a granddaughter one day, I will add her here as well.

Favorite Male: ME! ME! ME! with my son, Tristan, and stepsons a close second.

Favorite Auto: Rusty Chevy .... shhh!! really it is a '94 Toyota Supra or a '70 GTO

Bad Habits: Making my wife smile and driving 10k/hr over the speed limit. They both make me happy though.

edit Personality

I love life and life loves me. I have a saying I love to say: I never have a bad day. Everyday is a good day just some are better than others

• Realist - you might think optimist after the above statement but I see life and how it is. I know I have a lot of good things even when things are not always good in my life. Life means choices and we have to live with the choices we make.
• Funny - Well I did try to be a comedian but i was starving so I quit.
• Honest - Can you really trust a guy that says he is honest?
• Straight Forward - I do have reverse on my car
• Open-Minded - NO I don't have an extra holes in my head
• Forgetful - something to do with age my wife says. Now where did I put those house keys.
• Forgiving - I can respect people for making mistakes as long as they can admit it and try and change it.
• Fence Sitter - means I can see both sides of a debate without pre-judgement. I might have my own opinions but don't mean they are right for everybody else.
• Helpful - I love to volunteer and be helpful
• Patient - Not a Doctor.
• Behaviouralist - I believe we were born with a clean slate and some where along the way some one taught us things.

These are some points but I am sure my wife would add more or less if she got the chance...hehe

edit My Interests

I should say just about everything interests me. If I have not done it before, I want to learn it. I do have some main interests though:

• FISHING!! - Something to die for, well atleast for the fish.
• Music - Almost all especially Jazz, Big Band, Crooners (woohoo .. Micheal Buble), and Classical
• Computers - Just fascinates me because there is so much to learn
• Web Designing - It is my art. When I complete a project I love the what I have created.
• Autos - I love to restore old cars and trucks. My new project is actually going to be a newer car and make it into a street car. It is a project I am going to work on with my stepson. When it is done, It will be his. Never done one is the reason to do one.

edit My Careers

Mostly I am the stay home Mom. Lots of careers to list and here are the main ones:

• Chef - I still love to cook but I only get smiles, hugs, and kisses for payment now
• Nurse - I just loved taking care of the older ones. Woooo ... The stories they told would knock your socks off
• Executive Manager for a division of a major airline company - Way too many thrills from this one and none I can mention on a PG-13 page.
• Web Designer - since '94 I have designed hundreds of pages. Now I sub-contract for a few companies nationwide.
• Network Administrator - only do this when someone absolutely needs me. I feel for those that do this full time.

edit Spinal Muscular Atrophy

AS I have stated about, I have Spinal Muscular Atrophy. I have Type III which means I will live to be old but challenged. I hear from people that they feel sorry for me or that I have been cursed. Well I don't. I feel blessed and feel sorry for a lot of other people. When you are told you have something like this you suddenly realize that many other things you stressed about were never really that important. I used to worry about many things that I don't now. I feel more free now then I ever did before. I don't stress over things I can't change. I don't stress over things that have happened because it is done. Learn from it though.. I don't stress so much that life just passes me by. There is a forest across the street from me that has been there for years and until I found out I had this condition, I never noticed that there was raspberry bushes growing all along the edge of it. I do now. I am saying we spend so much time with things in our life that we forget to stop and just enjoy life. This is what having this condition taught me. So having this condition is a challenge, well so is life it's self. Take time to smell the Roses!!

I feel great giving back to the community here. At the same time I am learning all about Wiki. The more I help others the more I learn.

• Welcomer - I love to welcome people. I feel that if we welcome new people then they might feel that they are part of something bigger. I am pushing for a prize for the person who has the most welcomes. The prize is a bunny rabbit who comes to the house to do a strip show. Ooops, sorry once again I was day dreaming of Jessica Rabbit. I will work on this.

• ConflictResolutionIdea - Trying to find a way to help people have their concerns heard without a negative conflict.
