Career Background:

I have been in the computer industry since 1983 when I was recruited as a Marketing Support Representative for a distributor selling a new product, called a "personal computer", manufactured by Zenith Data Systems. I knew nothing about computers but the bug bit me. Soon, I was a hardware geek and was building PC's from scratch (called "clones" back in the day). Then I learned about networking computers and became geekier as time went by.

After much consolidation in the PC industry, in 1985, I went to work for a man selling computer supplies (consumables) named Richard Young. His company, Richard Young Products, (later to become Richard Young Journal, Inc.) started with humble beginnings and ended up becoming a $136 million revenue powerhouse by Sept. 30, 1995. In 1996, Richard sold his company to office supply giant, Corporate Express, who spun them off to another division called Corporate Express Imaging and Computer Graphics Supplies.

I started playing around on the Internet in 1994 and saw that this was the next big thing in the world of computing. I felt that it was time to strike out on my own. In July 1997, PagePartners Web Publishing was born. I left Corporate Express Imaging in 1998 and have been involved in programming websites and database web applications ever since.
