• Pam Gilroy (frustrated) : Today's editorial by Ken Schramm discussed the Mariners setting aside an area that was peanut free for a couple of games. I usually agree with Mr. Schramm, but today he is way off base. No doubt he has never watched a child allergic to peanuts, stop breathing when coming in contact with peanut butter. Nor has he seen a child's eyes swell shut when peanut oil got on his hands and he rubbed his eyes. I have witnessed both, and it is frightening. I dare say this probably would not happen to someone who has gotten a misquito bite ....My hat is off to the Mariners for their sensitivity in providing a time when people with such severe allergies can enjoy something most of us take for granted.
