Studied journalism and marketing (BA Communications) and investment management / investment banking. Practised investor relations for more than 15 years, focused in hi-tech industries such as IT & telecommunications, advanced materials, healthcare, biotech / life sciences.

Worked previously for national government in various development related positions: Department of Information; responsible for corporate relations at commercial bank Santambank; liaison to members of the Chamber of Mines, and investor relations officer at investment banking group, Genbel Investments prior to launching own business, Southgro Investor Relations in 1994.

Added Rapid Technologies cc in 1997, launching two new diagnostics businesses, www.rapiddiscovery.biz, and www.rapidremedial.biz focusing on the healthcare needs of southern Africa.

Building various escience social networks to focus on technology intensive and health care areas to improve access to technology in South Africa and stimulate cross-border investment and cooperation.
