Hello All! I am eager to participate and help in the AboutUs Community, wherever I am somewhat qualified and/or abled. Much of my experience is within the horticulture and floriculture fields where I have worked as a researcher, head grower, and productionist. In 2003 I unfortunately had to stop working due to the onset of chronic cluster migraines. Since then, and primarily because of my experiences with this disability, I have ventured into local organizing and public policy activism. I am also an avid writer and journalist as well as the co-founder and administrator of The Evolution of Thought Institute.

My journey to the AboutUs community was as a mere website administrator however, I have discovered, learned and thoroughly enjoyed the time I spent online at AboutUs and believe that it offers a welcoming window into the world of wiki! I have found that networking between some of the most amazing people at AboutUs has expanded my vision for change and possibilities!

Thank you Bryan! I want to make a page like Portal:Entrepreneur Education - where all content is properly presented in a table with header cells. Checked out the help for editing pages but kinda disappointed. Can I use HTML ? or do i format using only DIV / SPAN Tags - or CSS ? Kindly advise.Manoj

Hi Bryan, The Evolution of Thought Institute looks awesome, I specially like all the internal linking you have done! Also, the Gio page looks great. You might have noticed that now we can see the thumbnail on Gio, I replaced the thumbnail link with a screen shot of the page. However, the link to the sub domain is still faulty as the link does not work with www. Don't know how we can solve this problem. I will write to the dev team about the DomainBox Template problem. Since we usually don't know who the anonymous IPs (who blank pages) are (they could be representing the website, they could be vandals, we don't know that), we usually stick a {{Undelete}} at the beginning of the blanked page after we revert it :) Nathan ^(talk) 11:48, 27 September 2007 (PDT)

Hiya Brian, I see you have reverted an edit I made. I was told to remove the thumbnail and most content of serious adult content sites, not just flag them. Flagging is for Adult but not serious porn sites. I make no moral judgment just that this site is considered R:13. This was after discussion with tedErnst. Hey Bryan,

After talking to Ted and Mark about it, we/I merged the FeatureMePotentials "Strong candidates" into the alphabetical list; since individual "team members" are watching these "groups" it made sense to do this in order to make sure the "strong candidates" were also getting watched/loved/nurtured.

I also moved a lot of the "new candidates" into their respective groupings as well. Both of these changes, this grew your A-E group by a bunch of pages, take a look at what's changed and watch these additions accordingly. (In the future, this "jump" won't be as pronounced, now that we're caught up on new nominations, changes to the groups will be on the order of one or two "new candidates" being moved into the "under consideration" groupings a week. This big jump is just part of the necessary pains of having had to get caught up.)

Kasey came up with a great idea that I'm in love with for tracking new people that are welcomed as opposed to the old Welcoming People Log page. Essentially by month every new user welcome gets a category like Category:2007-10 Welcome to AboutUs! so they can easily be tracked and sorted by year/month on Category:Welcome to AboutUs!. So you can see that I just added this to my deal-y at User:KristinaWeis/Welcome3 and if you could do the same to whatever you use and hopefully remember to change it on the first of the month. And if you would like to add a category like this to your talk page with the month you joined/were welcomed, it can double as a badge of honor of when everyone joined. How do I get my home page to appear in the upper right hand corner? Right now the old coming soon page still appears even though google has reindexed my website.

Also, when I previously searched my domain, my About us page would appear second in a search. Now it doesnt.The only item located relates to the search word "Virtual", which relates to what i do.

I haven't seen Bryan around in a few days, so perhaps I can help? You're talking about the thumbnail image, correct? To update it, either just let me know what page and I'll do it, or better yet, do it yourself! If you click the DomainTools.com link on the page in question, underneath the image, you'll go to a page for that domain at DomainTools.com. You'll see the same thumbnail image, and hopefully (if I'm right), a link that says "Queue this Domain for Update". Click that. Wait 15 minutes. Reload the DomainPage here at AboutUs.org.
