Rob, looks like you are having a great start. Check out the RealPeople page and think about making robsoles in to Robert Thompson. Then you can make a redirect from your User:Robsoles to the Robert Thompson and a link back to your User talk:Robsoles page... granted you think that is something you want to do! :-) I would also be interested in taking you on a tour of the place as well sometime. Hi Rob, left a message on the User:Robsoles page. But just wanted to let you know I appreciate you letting me know about the poor performance of the site. I was just talking to a fellow in Italy last night and it was taking him 30 seconds to load a page. ouch! These are painful for us and we are working hard at trying to fix them. The wiki page is looking pretty nice. I'm not sure if there was something in particular I was to be looking for, but it's good. Hehe, I love the smiley with the flag on the web site. That's a nice concept for people to submit stories or whatever - I like it a lot. What was your idea for this or your vision or goal for this section?

I would just like to tell you about the WhoWeAre consensus poll. This is a unique opportunity for all community members to discuss and decide what AboutUs is and more importantly what role we, the community, plays.

The discussion is still in its initial stages and there are a handful of people involved in this discussion. But it's not enough. Every one of us has a stake in this process. We all need to air our views. Our opinions will make a difference. We cannot and must not let a handful of people define us. We must speak out and contribute because we are being defined and I for one would like to have a say in how I am being defined.

Please contribute to this really important project. Without you it cannot successfully create a good definition of who we are. Tanwir Shah
