Title
Vernon and District Hospice House - Vernon, BC in the North Okanagan of British Columbia
Description
Vernon and District Hospice Society supports quality of life to the very end of life. When medical intervention can no longer add days to life, we strive to add more life to each day.
The Society was Incorporated in 1984 as a charitable organization with the purpose of supporting the terminally ill, their loved ones and the bereaved. Initially formed as a small volunteer organization with a visiting program, the Society is currently recognized as a leader in the development and delivery of comprehensive hospice palliative care services.
Programs and services are offered to residents of the North Okanagan. Referrals for counselling services, volunteer support or admission to Hospice House may be made through Community Care Nursing, physicians, self, family or friends.
