- The unified field theory shows how existence and change (in other words, matter and all forms of energy) can be accounted for by the presence of discontinuities in space and the movement of space in four, rather than just three, perpendicular dimensions of distance. For example, all forces that define how particles relate to one another (charge, gravity, and magnetism) are just different manifestations of the way space flowing through particles interacts and the effects that such interactions have on the particles themselves. The unified field theory has profound implications on our understanding of the universe and, most significantly, on our potential ability to harness the energy of the atom.
