Elaine Bamford was born in 1972 and grew up in Ripon, North Yorkshire. Having passed the 11+ exam, she attended Ripon Grammar School, leaving in 1989 with 10 GCSE’s and qualifying as a Nursery Nurse two years later. Throughout her many years working with children she has had a keen interest in literature. Hobbies include theatre, reading, camping and classic car rallies. She currently lives in Otley, West Yorkshire with her husband, Julian.
