Wing Apocalypse - A Dawn of War Clan - Home

Description

Wing Apocalypse was born out of a long and fateful story. Some may describe it's beginnings as being 'different' to the standard setup of a gaming team. Shortly after the game 'Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War' was released onto the PC game scene, many avid online gamers began to form dedicated teams, or 'clans'. Due to the common elements of poor team play and players exiting from games, the view of playing with people in a clan would ensure that these wasteful games were kept to an absolute minimum, whilst the game itself with enhanced team play would be an excellent experience.

Through a very old post on one of the forums at Dawn of War Planet, several members began to form a clan known as 'Ghost Squadron' or {GS} under a leader know as 'Loki'. Following the setup of several members, it appeared that Loki was soon to vanish from the face of the community. This unfortunate blow to the clan, in these very early stages, caused the clan community to completely collapse and the members lost in the situation.

Following the disbandment of the clan, an early {GS} member known as 'Lightning' began to stir up interest in the re-form of the clan under a new guise, which would soon be become known as 'United Nations' or [UN]. With several members from all over the globe, the [UN] clan was formed, a site was built and a thriving online community prospered, with clan games also taking place periodically. Following several months of activity, it was decided to take up the matter of creating a new, battle hardened image for the clan under a new name and also to draw new members to the community, to provide an image more fitting to the world of Warhammer. After several weeks of deliberation, 'Wing Apocalypse' was born out of 'United Nations'. A new web site, image and forum was constructed, by two of the most senior members at that time, [WA]Mystical and [WA]ArTizan. Two major clan changes in a short few months however appeared to have it's toll, as old members began to lose interest slowly over time.
