This site has been constructed with the goal of complying with Web standards. What this means is that code is checked against the W3 validation services for markup as well as CSS. Also, universal accessibility features are built in to provide the information to as many people as possible, including those with disabilities. We still have some work to do...
Who-What-When-Where-Why
Washington Apple Pi (or WAP or just "the Pi" as we like to say) is a community of people with a common aim: to improve our knowledge and enjoyment of Macintosh computers and do it in a way that respects a member's level of comfort with his or her machine. We approach this through such things as social interaction, sharing, fun, cooperative activities, mentoring and education.
Washington Apple Pi is organized as a non-profit social club - the IRS says we're a (Section 501(c)(7)). As such, we are run by volunteers for the benefit of our members. It is through those volunteer efforts that we produce a magazine, host online forums and services, and gather in regular and ad-hoc groups to exchange information, experiences and instruction. And did we mention, have fun?
