Description
Watersign Creative was founded in late 1998 in a residential home in Morris County, NJ. The main impetus to open the studio was a combination of circumstances.
I had been recording people in various capacities since 1977. My early experiences included recording live gigs at cafes and nightclubs, basement sessions with equipment set up on washing machines and jam sessions at house parties. I also was a career performing musician (keyboard/vocal) all along. In 1985 I began work with a couple of songwriters who had recording and management deals. This led to a staff production gig with an entertainment management group in NYC. For a couple of years I was tasked with recording and arranging demos for a wide & wild variety of bands and solo artists. One of my demos helped an artist named Kez land a deal with Mega Records (France) and she had a Gold Record with a song we arranged and I played on called "Black Angel". During that time period I had a chance to work at some of the best and most exciting studios in NYC, i.e.: Atlantic Recording Studios, Unique Recording, RPM and Right Track to name a few.
A year in Australia (1988) yielded lots more studio and stage experience and I performed on the debut album of the year, 1927's "..ISH"
