Each item is born out of a love of Americana, Folk Art, antiques, whimsy and collectibles. Our individually chosen materials, masterfully coordinated fabric selections, and our penchant for creativity make our items the perfect compliment to a variety of decors and tastes. Due to the hand-crafted nature of our items, there may be slight differences in each piece. These differences add to the natural beauty and individuality of our creations.
Watermelon Rind Designs evolved out of a desire to do something bigger than what we were doing in our "professional" lives. We have combined all of our hobbies and talents to create an internet-based shopping experience we hope you will enjoy. Our love of antiquing, combined with our love of sewing, equals gorgeous one-of-a-kind baby blankets. Our belief that everyone has something to say, combined with our love of woodworking, turned into an interesting array of signage for your home. Our dislike of water marks on fine furniture, combined with a bit of creativity, turned into durable and whimsical coasters and trivets for your home. Our custom scrapbooks are crafted out of a love of family, traditions, photography, paper crafts and an incredible knack for telling a colorful story that you all will remember for years to come.
