The company was started in 1925 and was purchased by Robert Roberts in 1947. In 1983, after the death of Robert Roberts, his son, Mark Roberts, ultimately assumed the position of President and CEO.
Its U.S. sales force consists of approximately 28 independent sales representatives who are supported by the Company's marketing staff. These representatives have built direct relationships with the approximately 15,000 professional photographers throughout the United States who market Art Leather products.
