ABOUT WES
Entering his third season as the Cowboys receivers coach, Wes Chandler has quickly put to use the experience he gained in 11 seasons as an NFL player and seven years as a coach in NFL Europe to upgrade the Dallas passing game. He has successfully blended experienced veteran receivers with relative newcomers in his two seasons in Dallas.
Wes came to Dallas after seven years coaching in NFL Europe, including a stint as head coach of the Berlin Thunder in 1999. Before that, Wes also coached at the University of Central Florida and Father Lopez High School in Daytona, Florida.
Wes retired from the NFL during the 1988 season after an 11 year playing career. At the time of retirement Wes ranked 12th in NFL history in receiving yards and 13th in receptions. He also has earned 4 Pro Bowl selections, including 3 with the San Diego Chargers. In 2001, Wes was inducted into the San Diego Charger Hall of Fame.
