During its 20 and more years of activity Whitesun has always been a step further in designing and producing tanning equipment, but in these years the acttion field of the Italian firm broadened more and more, leading to the birth of the franchising brands Cokaclub and Beautyland, the production of aesthetic equipment, the very new adventure in the UVFree tanning field, and, above all, the enormous success we had in exporting our best machines around the world.
A pionieristic instinct that Whitesun keeps following, to realize, once again, the standards of tomorrow.
History
- 1982 WHITESUN srl forms itself and begins its activity renting in Italy the first high pressure mono-facial tanning lamps to beauty centers, thus opening a new era in the artificial tanning business by producing the first Italian made tanning machine.
- 1985 WHITESUN is the first company that constructs the bi-facial lamps. It distributes them in franchising starting the first Tanning Centers with WHITESUN brand.
- 1987 WHITESUN is the first company that manufactures the tri-facial lamps (WHITESUN ROBOT) including the transformer inside the body.
- 1988 WHITESUN starts planning and producing COKA, the first multifunction Face/Body tanning seat with incorporated massage.
- 1989, after having opened approximately 150 WHITESUN Centers, it starts COKA CLUB franchising plan, based on COKA lamps, a software of management of the Center on Apple Macintosh, the chat and meeting program "Incrociatore" on videotel and personalized furnishings made of thermoformed ABS.
- From 1990 WHITESUN is present in the Managing committee of ASSOFRANCHISING (the most important Italian franchising association) and is recognized among the companies that for first have contributed to the development of the franchising system in Italy (see franchising book published by the "SOLE 24 ORE")
- From 1990 to 2000 Whitesun opens more than 200 Beauty Farms and Tanning centres.
- In 2001 Whitesun introduces Chronos, the first completely open equipment for integral tanning, studied for claustrophobic people.
- 2002, BEAUTYLAND franchising network starts in partnership with famous entrepreneurs for the opening of high level 360° wellness centres.
- 2003, Whitesun introduces the Velocity equipment with the new ULTRAPRESSURE system, that allows a perfect tanning without risks (typical of high pressure technology), with low operating costs (advantage of low pressure). Always in the arc of this year, the company studies the new "RENT & BUY" formula dedicated to who wants to rent the equipment without any entrepreneurial risk. Innovation is not only turned to the technology but also to the trade development.
- 2004, Whitesun introduces another great innovation: MICROTAN. An equipment studied for those who love tanning but do not want to submit to UV rays. The tanning session takes places through a patented technology that consist in the micronization and the polarization of one natural protein (DHA) on the skin. A golden and uniform color obtainable in simple way in just a few seconds, completely automatic and without contraindications.
- 2005, Whitesun introduces Velocity05 (evolution of the Y model) and the new tanning shower Eclipse, equipped with numerous hi-tech optionals like the GSM module for the total control of the machine via mobile, or the innovative STW spray Jet System with melanine stimulator, that during the tanning session micronizes a special Tan accelerator in order to make the session more effective and comfortable. Whitesun introduces also the equipment that, with MICROTAN, completes the UVFree collection: MICRONICER, a practical and portable suitcase with all necessary to micronize many products finalized to tanning such as aesthetic, and MICROTAN EASY, an open and completely automatic UVFree machine that encloses all the Microtan technology at an absolutely competitive price.
