New: Flooring advice in wiki format edit

When Marc Henderson decided to get in on the ground floor of an Internet business 6-plus years ago, he looked no further than the floor -- a hardwood floor.

Today, his online hardwood flooring business, HardwoodBrokersInc.com, is among the top wood flooring service sites on the web.

"We're the Amazon.com of flooring," Henderson says. "We have 40 blogs devoted to flooring. We do no brick and mortar. We rule our space." But he wants more.

That's why Henderson recently launched WikiFlooring.org, a wiki created to offer expert flooring advice for homeowners and commercial property owners and managers.

Wanted: Expert flooring advice edit

WikiFlooring is new, and Henderson is looking for people who can help build the wiki into the go-to place for flooring advice.

He's looking for experts in all areas of flooring - not just wood flooring - to write advice articles and tips for the site.

"I want this to be a true wiki," he says. "If someone can offer expert advice about cork flooring, I want them to be able to go right into the site and write about it."

Have you got expert flooring advice to share? edit

Amateurs and pros alike are welcome to share their advice, along with photos to illustrate their suggestions. Contribute and be counted!

If you have a few hours each month to help moderate WikiFlooring, the company's network of websites can offer linking and honorable mentions for responsible moderators. Contact Marc Henderson directly or the website administrators, the partners at 3PRIME, LLC.

Expert advice builds the flooring business edit

HardwoodBrokers.com is investing time and money both to raise its profile and to demonstrate what a good company can do to give back to its industry and consumer base.

"We hope that the expert advice on WikiFlooring.org will encourage people to take on value-building home improvement projects," Henderson says. "Flooring professionals can, by contributing, show that they have faith in the economy and in their industry's ability to bounce back."

Henderson should know--he did get in on the (hardwood) ground floor.
