The north woods now has its own local news on The Web. We are located in Marcell Minnesota 30 miles north of Grand Rapids Minnesota. We will also have items that we think will interest the people of the Bigfork, Effie and Talmoon areas. This Includes not only news that happens locally, but also the surrounding communities like Deer River, Grand Rapids and others in Itasca County. You can contribute to this site with items you think may interest the people who live here as well as visitors. We will include news or events from any of the surrounding communities. We do not have a large staff of reporters, so let us know about any news or events you are aware of.

We will do our best to verify the accuracy of anything we print. We do not want to print something that may be harmful to someone without verifying it first, so please include a way to contact you. If it's news, and it's true, we will print it.
