I began dressing flies over 16 years ago after I found that most of the "mass produced" fishing flies available in the shops were all too often poor reproductions of the original patterns, and the flies tied using cheap, sub-standard materials.
I really believe in what I do and derive a great deal of pleasure from both tying the fishing flies and hearing about the captures made on them. I am immensely proud of the fantastic catches my clients have made and "can tell a good tale" as we say in Cumbria.
