WASHINGTON―The Radio and Television News Directors Foundation announces a new scholarship fund supported by New York Times Radio to underwrite the supplemental expenses of scholarship and fellowship winners to attend the annual RTNDA@NAB Convention in Las Vegas from April 23 – 26, 2006.
The New York Times Radio Supplemental Scholarship Fund will enable 14 national scholarship and fellowship winners to attend three days of educational workshops and seminars at RTNDA@NAB, the premier conference and exhibition for radio, television and online news.
The awards are made on a competitive basis with nearly 50% of the scholarships and fellowships dedicated to people of color. Broadcast journalists Ed Bradley, Carole Simpson and Ken Kashiwahara have created scholarships through RTNDF to support aspiring journalists of color.
