Licensed to the University of Wisconsin Board of Regents and operated by the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee College of Letters and Science, WUWM is funded by private listener donations, contributions from local businesses, professions and foundations, as well as from the Corporation for Public Broadcasting and the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee. About three-quarters of WUWM's funding is contributed by the community it serves.
