Our platform enable service buyer clients to award projects to college students in a collaborative project-based learning environment. The online tools offered allow for onsite and/or remote team project management. Collaborate with students at your current college or other colleges in a mentor-led project-based learning approach where you receive payment when the project is completed.
Background
A concept initially created and conceptualized as part of a 2009 Master's Project Management degree dissertation at the University of Maryland, University College named "An Open Resource Allowing For College Students Learning Via Real World Projects" the founder of CertificationPoint (Byron Giles) saw a gaping hole in the process of what was available to college students once they graduated while having limited resume, experience, and business contacts to go along with an expensive degree. A few the trio of students launched CertificationPoint.
Innovation
The idea of introducing college students to the career field neutral website to build up their on-the-job skills and resume while in college has traditionally been reserved for business professionals and professional freelancers.
College students achieving career readiness via collaborative project-based learning freelance aligned with national businesses seeking to hire quality students within a mentor-led process. CertificationPoint rotates students as group lead so each student is able to experience being the project leader within the Work Experience Builders.
