Dr. Jonathan Hodes grew up in Indianapolis, Indiana where he graduated from medical school at Indiana University in 1980. He completed a residency in Internal Medicine in 1982 and moved to the National Institute on Aging to research aging and the brain. The brain so fascinated him that Dr. Hodes chose to undertake a second residency, this time in Neurosurgery, under the chairmanship of Dr. Charles Wilson, one of the premier neurosurgeons in the brain tumor field.
