AvaMods is a community and team that runs a modified day of defeat server.

AvaMods was originally part of cdrive for the past couple years, but due to drama, they split off and formed their own team... you'll find them running esquisitely modified versions of maps and privately developed amxmodx plugins to expand apon the original game itself. On top of all that they also provide a community-like atmosphere on their website and forums.

The owner of avamods.com is an immature little kid who is on a major powertrip. Go check out the avamods.com DoD 1.3 server and all you'll find, Are ignorant human beings, Mostly kids talking about doing drugs and saying the dumbest of things. "Diamond-Optic" who is the owner and head admin, allows people to act like children on his server just so he can have a server full of humans and not bots.
What type of server admin would sacrafice their integrity,morals and values to simply have a game server full of mostly prepubesent teens and ignorant adults. THE ANSWER IS, "The kind that has no integrity and the morals and values of the same people he allows to act like racist ignorant fools on his server.
Since DoD came out back in feb of 2001, There has always been ignorant head admins that ran their servers in lame and pathetic ways, just so they can have a place to frag with humans and not have to have BOTS on their server, or even worse so they can say my server is ranked #1 or in the top ten. How bad is that ?
This is no excuse at all for putting up with the type of total and complete idiots that the avamods.com allows on it's server. As a matter of fact the only time someone gets banned from the avamods server, is because they beat one of its admins so badly in the game, The admin had to save some face and ends up banning the player who was beating them.
I ask all of the people who would read this, What kind of a person does that. THE ANSWER IS, Someone who is so insecure that they feel the need to get their kicks by banning players who are better then they are. This is simply just the most pathetic of human trates.
If you want a place to frag were the admins abuse their powers and treat others with distain because their better at the game than the admins are, Then this is the server for you.
I go their to play once or twice a week (using an alias) because if i play as "ThePowerCosmic" Diamond bans one of my accounts. I dont ever see him in the server except when he comes into to ban someone (Probably because he's really bad at the game and spends all day coding plugins that make his server more popular with the really bad players who cannot play DEFAULT dod.
You had better pray we dont ever run into each other IRL Diamond. And yes i'll be keeping tabs on you by playing on you're server once in a while. I know you dont have the balls to come on mine. I have a little proggy call "Domino" that i would like to introduce you too.
