- The idea for BetterBeerBlog came to me one day in my cubicle. I was listening to a podcast called Craft Beer Radio being run by two guys out of Pittsburg named Jeff and Greg. I was fascinated by their approach to beer. In their podcast, they would buy a few bottles of craft beer from their local bottle shop and rate them based upon appearance, taste, smell, mouthfeel and drinkability. I never knew you could do that with beer. Jeff and Greg had taken what I believed to be a very “blue collar” beverage and elevated it to the same level as wine. Jeff and Greg were doing to me what the movie “Sideways” did for pinot noir.
