- I like the idea of the brackets but I'm not convinced this exact representation of them is the best we can come up with. I'm not sold on the idea of green or even on standardizing on any color. If the symbol is simple enough, color could be optional. It shouldn't include any text - this has to be language-independent. See translations of "edit" - most of these don't easily fit in an icon.
