Mrs. Basagic and her husband, John, opened the downtown Dunedin, Florida shop in late September, 1995. "I like what it (chocolate) represents for people. It brings a little joy in their life," Mrs. Basagic said.
The shop is a family affair. The Basagics' 24-year-old daughter, Diadre, for whom the shop is named, also works there. Basagic's mother and Mrs. Basagic's sister sometimes pitch in.
The chocolates are imported from Belgium, France, and Switzerland. Items include custom business cards reproductions in chocolate, chocolate roses and chocolate-covered wine bottles. Prices range from 10 cents to about $100.
