Since its inception in 2001, Asia Pacific Investment Partners (APIP) has been focused on proprietary investments and investment management in the Asia Pacific region. Headquartered in Hong Kong and with offices in New York, London, and Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, APIP is dedicated to seeking unique investment opportunities in the emerging markets of Asia and beyond.

With a strong focus on emerging markets real estate investment and management the partnership has been active in the development of residential, commercial and resort properties in markets that are particularly strong and provide potential for strong revenue potential and capital gains. In 2004 the company launched the first REIT in Mongolia which will be completed in early 2005 and is expected to return 37% net to investors in a nine month period. The company is currently planning its second REIT to be created in 2006 which will focus broadly on the Central Asian region with a primary focus on Mongolia.

Although the firm is not limited to specific industries it has mostly been focused on the real estate, tourism/hospitality, financial services and cashmere industries. APIP has invested into minority positions and also taken operating control and majority positions within its investments. APIP is an operating company as well as a fund management company and co invests along with its investors. Future plans of the company include further investment into the Central Asian region primarily in real estate development and fund management and will increasingly act as a global advisor for real estate investments in the emerging markets.
