Title

BookFinder.com: Search for New, Out of Print and Used Books

Description

BookFinder.com is the open marketplace for books online—a one-stop ecommerce search engine where you can search through over 100 million new, used, rare, and out of print books for sale. Searches include results from every major online catalog, and from dozens of independent sources you may not have heard of. Find a book you like? Click through to to the bookseller's website to buy the book directly from the seller. We never charge a markup.

Our site is produced by a team of high-tech librarians and programmers based in Berkeley, California, working to connect readers with the books they're looking for. We're part of our own audience—we're heavy readers, and buy several dozen books every year using BookFinder.com. We also blog about our work, and advocate for a strong, diverse, bookselling industry.

BookFinder.com was first developed in 1996 by then-19-year-old UC Berkeley undergraduate Anirvan Chatterjee (personal website). Over the years, the site has grown to become one of the best online resources for book related ecommerce, as evidenced by the great feedback we've received from our users and the press. Whether you collect rare books or buy cheap paperbacks to read on the train, we think you'll appreciate our unbiased marketplace and search engine.
