DogLost.co.uk reunites lost and stolen dogs with their owners
DogLost.co.uk: Reuniting Lost Dogs with their Owners
DogLost.co.uk was set up by Tim Bristow and Jayne Hayes after their miniature French Bulldog, Hermy, was stolen. They were amazed to find that there was no fast or easy way to communicate their dog's details to all the necessary organisations, though other dog owners were keen to help. Surprised by how many other people had missing dogs, they realised that a website was needed to put fellow dog owners in touch with each other and the relevant organisations. And so DogLost.co.uk was born.
Since then, DogLost.co.uk has reunited thousands of lost and stolen dogs with their owners, and has established a network of tens of thousands of helpers across the UK. Every dog registered on the site gets a free 'blog' page on which helpers share news, advice and support, and a free poster that owners and helpers can print out to help in their search. Many helpers also choose to receive DogLost's email alerts, which keep them informed about lost dogs in their area. DogLost is committed to providing these services for free, knowing that this gives the best chance of reuniting lost dogs with their owners.
