Description
The Housing Authority of Portland is committed to providing our most vulnerable citizens with access to affordable housing and services that promote stability and self-sufficiency. We help usher our residents into a new life, assisting many on a path toward economic independence and, in some cases, home ownership. We help them see their goals are within reach. It is our responsibility – and our pleasure – to assist members of our community in finding what we all desire: a place to call home.
For individuals new to HAP, we direct you to Introduction to HAP for a summary view of the different programs we offer. On our Housing Options page you will find information about our Affordable and Public Housing programs and Section 8 rent assistance. Current HAP residents will find detailed information on everything from career services to paying the rent in our For Current Participants section.
For job seekers, we offer an up-to-date listing of positions open at the Housing Authority on our Jobs page, along with a downloadable employment application. And for firms wishing to do business with us, we invite you to browse our Bid Opportunities section. Finally, on our New Columbia page, you can find a wealth of information on this important development project.
