History of Kinnaird
The Intermediate classes began in Kinnaird in 1913 , it was followed by B.A. classes four years later. But even at that early stage Kinnaird sensed the need for more room to grow and the college moved to Lake Road in 1926.In 1933 , land was acquired near Lahore's famous canal and new buildings were constructed. By 1939 the twenty acre campus was Today Kinnaird ranks as one of the country's best institution for education where over more than four thousand students are enrolled.

Kinnaird is offering B.A ,B.SC Honour courses in Psychology,Economics, Mathematics, English Literature, Fine Arts. Kinnaird is offering Masters courses of Mass communication, Stats, English Literature, ELT,Environmental Sciences, Linguistics. New courses of BBA and MBA have also started.

Open to anyone over the age of 18 seeking credit towards studies or to enhance their personal knowledge and skills Kinnaird is offering winter courses and summer courses in Graphic designing, Communication Skills, French, and many other courses to improve knowledge and expertise.
Extra curricular activities at Kinnaird
A part from academic activities Kinnaird has its annual sports day, annual plays and Drama competitions every year. Besides that activities are going on within the college and hostel for students throughout the year.
The student's Council
The Students' Council has been formed under the Presidency of the Senior Student assisted by the Deputy Senior Student and the Hostel Deputy. The Council is advised by the Students' Advisor . The council is responsible for general internal discipline and for the extra-curricular activities of the College. Its main objectives are to organize programmes and projects The council members assist at all college activities and help out other clubs and societies whenever needed.
