Description
Silver Ladder is a site formerly run by Shane Watson, who died in a car accident on June 11, 2007. Following the passing of Mr. Watson, control of the site was handed over to Ms. Athena Snows of Colorado Springs, CO. The site has since been run as a form of interactive art exhibit in tribute to the late Mr. Watson.
However, the site is not affiliated with any internet scavenger hunt or ARG, as has been rumored in recent days.
Ms. Snows will continue to operate the site as a non-profit, public art site.
As of June 25, 2007, all sections of the site except for the Bad Scary Place have been taken down, and the BSP is the new "home page." There is also a link, "communicate," that links to an email address.
The "new" version of the site which many people mistakenly associated with the Halo3 ARG or internet scavenger hunt will return online on July 1, 2007. This is the version of the site designed for high-speed connections. This is also the version of the site which caused Hurricane Electric's servers to crash when the site received 500,000+ hits in two days around the time of June 17th and 18th, 2007.
