Potheads.

I just got off the phone with some charming folks in California at www.ticketwizard5000.com, who just sent me a bill for $225 and threatened to have my car impounded if I don't pay within 90 days. After hanging up on me twice, and making me sit on hold for over an hour they refused to transfer me to a supervisor or apologize.

All this is over a parking ticket that I have requested an informal hearing about. I have yet to receive a date for this hearing; I can only hope to get this taken care of before my car is impounded or the fine doubles again.

Who are these people? Are they for real? I mean, I am still innocent until proven guilty in a court of law, right? Has the city outsourced its judicial responsibilities? This all seems very un-American to me.
