Boy Scout Troop 53 of Belleville, Illinois, offers Scouts an outstanding year-round, Patrol-based, outdoor-oriented program. Our Scouts have the opportunity to camp a minimum of 28 days and nights per year with a week-long summer camp being the highlight. Other outdoor programs include hiking, backpacking, canoeing, skiing, bicycling, rock climbing, rappelling, and much more. About every 2 years we offer older Scouts the opportunity to participate in a High Adventure trip to places such as Philmont Scout Ranch and the Boundary Waters Canoe Area.

Troop 53 is also very involved in community service. We participate in the Adopt-A-Highway program of St. Clair County, Scouting for Food, the Postal Worker Food Drive, and the American Cancer Society Relay for Life.
