Welcome. I am a very curious information specialist who loves researching, organizing, and analysing information.

While working at the MIT Press Bookstore, after graduating Smith College, I found my muse. There, I enjoyed searching for great websites, managing the database of books, sharing resources, and creating usable websites. My interest in using my strong research, analytical and technical skills led me to pursue and completed a Masters degree in Library and Information Science from Simmons College. I used the knowledge I gained as a researcher for the Education Development Center (EDC), program assistant for Olin College of Engineering, and a, information analyst at Kelly Scientific.

I met and married Scott Knight. We dreamed of living on a house boat. So we moved from Boston to Portland, Oregon.

I have been using my research, organization, and analytical skills by contracting as a software tester. I am seeking the next opportunity to provide decision support and quality assurance as a researcher, information analyst, or a software tester.

To keep track of all the great sites I find and like to share, I have created the blog Michelle’s muses from Mnemosyne
