Williams & Williams was founded in 1986 to provide specialized, individual real estate auctions in the Midwest, Northeast and Southeast. The company's first customers were predominantly wealthy, estate, and business minded individuals. Today, Private Seller services are offered nationwide, serving thousands of individual clients.
In 1993, Williams & Williams created Open Lands, Inc., a private real estate fund to invest in large ($1M+) rural properties and portfolios. Open Lands, Inc. has grown into the largest private equity fund specializing in low impact rural development. It acquires properties directly from owners, and through affiliated real estate brokerages nationwide.
In 2003, Williams & Williams launched its REO Sales Division, providing a nationwide outsource solution for foreclosed (bank owned) real estate. These services substantially enhance loss mitigation and/or sales performance, and are turnkey, from property preservation through sale, including asset, title and closing management. It serves the nation's largest financial (lending and servicing) and investment firms.
