Wiki's about place are fun for a community to use and deepen the community. These are generally *very local* - case in point - at the DavisWiki - there was created a guide to locations in the city where there used to be a telephone booth. Fun local history!
You live someplace. A '''civic wiki''' is a wiki about that place.
There is a pretty big overlap between this and a similar project at WikiIndex Cities Category - http://www.wikiindex.org/Category:Cities
Except that the bulk of the listings in WikiIndex are Wikia, etc. projects. By restricting this listing to civic wikis that have their own domains, I hope to exclude most of those.
