Once thought of as a pastime reserved for high school boys that locked themselves in the basement for hours, computer games have become a main stay of today’s entertainment industry. The gaming industry focused a long time on the individual experience, however in the late '90s games began to focus on the multiple user interfaces and allowed players from all over the world to compete or share with each other from their homes. Massive online Multiplayer (MMO), first-person shooter and even social networked computer games now populate retail stores and the internet.
